About Gather Yoga + Wellness
GATHER was created to provide sacred space for the community that our family lives in and loves. Unity, Connection, Movement, Self-Compassion, Awareness, Acceptance and Grace are integral to the growth of both the individual and the collective. It’s not about touching your toes but what you learn on the way down. ♡

Founding Story
Gather was a long time coming — a dream, a plan, a goal that has gone through many iterations. It wasn't created for me. It was created to fill a gap in a community I love deeply, and out of a genuine desire to be of service.
Our goal is to support this community by offering many paths to physical and mental wellness, rooted in the belief that we can do great things together.
With that intention, Gather offers yoga, barre, strength classes, mat Pilates, youth classes, sound bath meditation, breathwork, and workshops — and we're always growing.
We are not just a yoga studio. Gather is a sacred space for healing, connection, and community. Movement is simply one of the many ways we get there.
Check our schedule regularly, or sign up for our email list to stay in the loop — we don't like spam either. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with our class schedule and special events.
With love, Jen and the Gather team ♡

Meet the Founder
Jen
Owner, E-RYT500
Jen has spent more than three decades teaching — beginning with golf, then yoga, and evolving into a multifaceted practice that weaves movement, mindfulness, and coaching together. Rooted in a background in Psychology and Sociology, her approach is grounded, trauma-informed, and deeply human. She holds 200 & 300-hour yoga certifications alongside Pre-Natal, Yin, Restorative, and Trauma-Informed credentials, and is a certified life, wellness, and recovery coach. She founded Gather in 2017 to create something this community was missing — a space devoted not just to movement, but to genuine healing and connection. Her intention in every class and every conversation is the same: to help people come home to themselves.

Meet the Team

Cassidy
CYT500
Cassidy Calabria Barbeau has been part of Gather since its very beginning, teaching through each chapter of the studio's evolution with seasoned experience, steady leadership, and lived devotion. A 500+ hour Certified Yoga Teacher with training across multiple disciplines — including Kundalini and Yin Yoga — her classes are intentional and contemplative, rooted in deep respect for the traditional foundations of the practice. She is the creator of Gather's Youth Yoga program, where her work with children and teens centers emotional safety, resilience, and self-awareness, and alongside Jen, she is co-founder of The Meraki Yoga Collective — a space devoted to embodying yoga as a way of living. A California native, mother of three, author of Road Awakening, and owner of The Bespoke Concierge, Cassidy divides her time between the desert and her cabin in the mountain town of Idyllwild. At the heart of everything she offers is a devotion to presence: living yoga as a daily practice of listening, tending, and returning to what is essential.

Lisa
RYT-500
Lisa came to teaching after spending over 25 years in the nursing profession, most of it in the emergency setting. Her love of interacting with people and curiosity of all things to do with the human body, mind and spirit fuel her teaching. She enjoys teaching all levels of students, and hopes that those who attend class can take the learnings from the mat into their daily life. She and her husband reside in La Quinta. She is the proud mother of two amazing daughters.
